California allows same-sex marriage

Good morning to you all. Long time no see.

It’s early August and the temperature has gone down to 10 degrees Celsius. Christmas is only four months away. ;-)

Glorious news this morning. California is finally allowing gay marriages.  The case is probably going to wind up in the Supreme Court but still, it’s a step in the right direction. Both sides have until Friday to submit their answer to the decision.

Same-sex marriage is currently legal in five U.S. states and in the District of Columbia, while civil unions are permitted in New Jersey. The five states are Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Iowa and New Hampshire.

Oh, and another thing: how cool is this?
